This simple, yet sophisticated concept is intended for the condom line of Sexty-Something. The deep dark blue background is meant to portray the vividness of the Movida, the late nights out, the Nightlife that embraces every consumer, it’s a gentle reminder that, despite the age, nothing is off-limits for our customers.
The lining might look randomic, but it also subliminally shows how nothing is unfixable:the beginning lines walk erratically towards the abyss, but the glamorous, bright Sexty-Something solutions can (and will) invert that trend, directing the customer in only one direction, which is up(both metaphorically and literally)above and beyond.Everything in this little logo shouts glamour, mundanity and happiness. Because with Sexty-Something, things can only go up (wink).Thank you in advance for this opportunity.
The submitted solution successfully translates both labels into a well-rounded proposal. It introduces innovative elements through the integration of minimalistic vector design choices and vibrant, eye catching colors. Vector shapes remind user of flowers, which reminds them of sustainable and nature friendly products.
A cheeky, but simple condom packaging design. The wrinkles around the lips don’t take away from their sexiness, they enhance it. The logo, teeth and the wrinkles are negative spaces which shows the metallic shine from the blank pre-printed packaging.
Classy, simple design, suitable for the elderly customer. The high contrast between the silver foil finish of the lettering and the details against the black matte label makes it easily readable without compromising the style. On the top of the lid there’s a Spotify code (only for illustrative purposes on the project) that leads to a playlist with the best of the golden hits of the 70’s – 90’s. That way the customer might add something for the soul to their skincare routine.
Description:
My goal was to create emission of pride and confidence, for those who are looking at it. – “My age just looks fabulous”
The design fits to the theme of the modern elder society, by the combination of playful curves, the trendy elements and also the joyful bright colors.
The whole composition is simple but catchy, you can see clearly and recognize quickly every element on it.
The text is strong and readable and it’s in the focus point.
Feasibility:
Economic:
I consider my label design as a budget-friendly project, because of the quick and cheap project plan and fabrication.
Technical:
Printing.
Shape: customized – die cut
Label application1: custom shrink wrap sleeves (on a plastic product)
Label application2: rubber base adhesive/permanent acrylic adhesive
Additional: texture – UV gel can be added to the golden parts (hat and sunglass)
Sustainability:
Defects can be corrected easily and modifications can be applied on it, because of the editable format in Photoshop.
This design can be used on different products (supplement sachet, glass jar, plastic bottle), because it’s simple, catchy and made by some common (neutral) elements.
Future maintenance can be made easier by using the template and manufacturing it.
Label in front&back:
type: branded label
base: semi-gloss/high gloss paper
function role: identification, marketing, authenticity (QR code – optional)
function role: identification, description and ingredients
Creating a logo for the age group of sixty proved to be a challenging and rewarding experience. Within the designated four products, I chose to work with condoms, power drinks, and vitamin supplements, excluding body cream. From the start, my primary objective was to find an interesting, unique, and captivating approach for the logo that would be inclusive and respectful towards older individuals. I wanted to create something that would represent this more contemporary phase of life without causing any offense to the target audience. The logo subtly and creatively incorporates elements related to energy and the celebration of that energy, catering to the specified age group while avoiding stereotypes or clichés. The intention was to communicate the ideas of health, pleasure, and well-being subliminally, without being offensive. I also wanted the logo to be versatile in its usage, including the use of positive and negative space, making it recognizable in its entirety or with just a portion of it. Additionally, I aimed for it to be adaptable to future products that the brand may introduce. I invested time in gathering opinions from individuals within this age group, seeking both project guidance and a kind of approval.
